We are looking for a Software QA Team Lead to mentor our growing team of QA testers using a mix of management experience and hands on QA. You will take a key position in ensuring quality across our software products and be a champion of software quality to the larger ROLI team.

As a core member of our Software Team your responsibilities will include organising and prioritising work across the QA team as well as defining and implementing new strategies to improve our QA processes.

To succeed in this role you’ll bring significant QA and people management experience and be comfortable communicating with stakeholders of all levels across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a disruptive category of music making devices we are creating called ‘Connected Music’ – a network of hardware and software, platform and developer products that will revolutionise how music is made.

What you’ll do:

  • Represent software QA across the company, working with POs, designers and developers
  • Train and mentor team members
  • Work with the ROLI Talent Team to grow the QA Team
  • Oversee test process, bug management and triage
  • Organise alpha and beta testing
  • Innovate and design improvements for our test strategies
  • Champion best practices across the development process
  • Develop the use of test automation

What you’ll need:

  • Significant experience in Software QA
  • Proven and demonstrable leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritise competing or changing requirements in a growing team
  • Knowledge of current manual software testing techniques and their practical application
  • Up-to-date knowledge of testing tools and tracking systems (e.g. Jira)
  • Professional or personal experience in music tech or audio
  • Excellent communication skills, flawless written English
  • Superb time-management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Experience working at a startup company

Bonus points:

  • Experience working in agile teams
  • Coding experience in C++
  • Knowledge of test automation strategies
  • Experience in release management
