Dogtown Media (https://dogtownmedia.com) is at the forefront of the mobile revolution. We’re not super big and we don’t fly (yet), but we do a lot of super things like leveraging technology to generate innovative solutions for our clients. As a mobile technology studio, our team of designers, strategists, and app developers make miracles happen on a regular basis, delivering cutting-edge apps to an audience of millions.

As the manager of our business development team you will help tell the story of Dogtown Media and share our experience and unique approach through presentations, proposals and events. You will help ensure our growth goals are being met and serve as an agency evangelist. Additionally, you will be the liaison between our HQ and future offices in managing and iterating new business processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Leadership of the business development team’s activities, processes, and coaching staff members to ensure they come up with innovative solutions for day-to-day issues.
  • Cultivate leads through identifying partnership opportunities with new companies and developing strategic relationships with potential partners. This includes attending meetings, presenting capabilities, developing proposals, and maintaining communications with prospective partners.
  • Collaborate with key internal team members on new business opportunities, which includes project managing a team to develop proposal materials for potential partners.
  • Evaluate and provide analysis to management for new products and international market opportunities.
  • Support our marketing team as required, which may include attending industry networking events.
  • Plan and implement sales programs for one or more of the company’s product line. Ensure activities are in accordance with the developed sales objectives.
  • Prepare and run a new hire training program.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reports of sales activity for the executive team.
  • Undertake monthly one-on-ones and 6 monthly reviews with the sales team members.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 4+ years sales / business development management experience at a technology company
  • Familiarity with mobile apps, UX design, and software development processes
  • Outgoing and personable with superb written and oral communication skills
  • Must be an independent and self-motivated but also possess the ability to work within a team

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  • Ad agency, technical, account management, or operations experience
  • Strong writing skills, project coordination experience, and attention to detail
  • Experience working with software developers or digital design teams

BONUS SKILLS: 

  • Technical, agency, software sales experience, etc.
  • Experience forging partnerships and generating referral based leads
  • Experience working with software developers or digital design teams
